Insurance Company RN Jobs

World Canada

Hi all,

I'm interested in supplementing my income by working as an RN for an insurance company on my days off. I know often nurses attend people's homes to review medical information and take blood / urine samples. I'm not sure if these jobs are available through agencies or insurance companies directly. I tried Googling this information but didn't find very much for Canadian insurance companies. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you.

You must be thinking of homecare agencies not insurance companies, since Canadians have publicly funded healthcare insurance, there is no need for private insurance companies to arrange for urine or blood samples.

I think the OP is talking about life insurance agencies who screen before issuing policies.

Thank you both. Fiona59 that is what I'm referring to.

I've never heard of a Canadian nurse doing this. Whenever my family has bought insurance we just fill up a form. Never had the need for tests, etc. The one time there was a question raised by the company about health, it required the family doctor to complete a form.

These jobs might not exist in Canada.
