Anyone interested in an interview?

Hi Everyone,

I'm a first year nursing student in a compressed program, and for one of my classes I have to interview a nurse (gotta love these first year courses!). The nurses I know who would be open to this don't live nearby, and I'd have to travel about 1.5 hours to interview them (the interview has to be audio recorded & transcribed, and they are older people who don't have Skype). If anyone here would be willing to Skype with me for about 15-20 minutes about their experiences as a nurse, not only would I be super appreciative but I would send you a Starbucks gift card (or just paypal you a bit of money out of gratitude). The requirements are:

  • Be a nurse in Canada (preferably in Ontario)
  • Have had at least 5 years experience
  • Be an RN (or NP)

If anyone is interested, I could send you the questions beforehand so you know what would be necessary. Thank you!

Uhm, I'm an "elderly" nurse who uses Skype! don't be so quick to dismiss anyone over 50 as non techie.

I live in Alberta and am LPN so am no use to you.

It's also your first post and several of us don't like to do this for a first timer because on more than once we've done these assignments only never to have the poster return with feedback.

I didn't mean to imply that every older person doesn't use Skype, I was just referring to the particular people I know who happen to be older and who don't have Skype. No offence meant, I was just trying to explain why I needed to ask the wider nursing community.

I also wasn't aware of any first-time poster etiquette and I didn't see any rules. I was just hoping to find someone willing to help out a nursing student and I thought if someone approached me willingly then I wouldn't be bothering anyone. Sorry - this obviously wasn't the right place to post this.
