Let's do something fun! Everybody on allnurses.com has a very interesting and unique username. What is the back story of your username? Mine is just like it states, "Life's a Journey!"

True story.

St. Louis is already out of the playoffs :(

People with a sense of self entitlement keep this city the way it is. Wait until ride of the century this year ;)

Your quoting got mixed up ?

Specializes in Emergency, ICU.

Mine means nothing to anyone but me ;)

I made it up to completely conceal my online persona. This world is too small and Internet anonymity is a precious commodity.

I also change times, places, regions, specialties, as needed in my posting while still retaining the underlying truth of the story. I don't lie and make up stuff, just protect the innocent.

I have a confession to make. When I see your posts, I have to do a double take on your screen name because in my mind, initially I think edema.

Specializes in PACU/GI/CDIS??.
Love the "Anchorman" reference;)

HAHAA, I had to!! So appropriate....

Exactly what my username says, I literally aspire to be a nurse ;)

He wants controversy...I don't give it to him.

A nice feature to add on here would be the ability to "block" certain people... or "mute" them at least. Most SM sites have that capability now, and for obvious reasons, it is a no-brainer. See: twitter, fb, etc...

Who wants to come on here and be blasted every day?? Or feel the need to avoid certain topics because of others who are obnoxious?? Each user should have the opportunity to block other users. If you can follow, you should be allowed to block. Easy enough script to write I'd say.... and I think a LOT of people would appreciate it.

Some people just aren't worth even an accidental "click."

Just my opinion.

Mine comes from a story I wrote when I was in nursing school, about a gathering of dragons in a kingdom where magic was in danger of disappearing. One of the key main characters who I got REALLY interested in was a young golden-colored dragon who got separated from her parents and was raised by a band of True Elves...then by a band of Iron Elves...then by the kingdoms of men and one special prince who turned out to be rather important later.... Tamara grew up oddly, with a taste for adventure, the acquisition of wisdom, and a skill for seeing the hurts in others and (eventually) the ability to heal them. About that time, her tribe wants her back, because she's their leader, thanks to her Golden color. She became the Golden Roya, and her skills keep the realm stitched and healed together. Yeah, it's such a high school name, but at this point, it's me, and I wouldn't be able to remember another one.

Mine is my nickname and the age I was when I first starting using it :)

My maiden name was McKibben. One day while the assignments were being posted at our EMS base, a co-worker walked over and stated " McKibben huh? Well from now on I'm gonna call you Kibbles." The Supervisor stated "I like it!" and stopped writing the assignments and was all too quick to erase my real name and replace it with Kibbles and to send it in to our dispatch as Kibbles. So the running joke afterwards was "Hey Kibbles... where's your bits? or Who's your bits today?" Or I'd say "I'm Kibbles, and this is my bits." Lol. I love it.

Apparently when I sneeze it sounds like a mouse squeaking, so I've been known as Mouse since I was a kid.

My brother is considering getting a tattoo for me, a mouse in a lab coat with a stethoscope. :)

Mine is so boring - I never had kids of my own but have 4 dog babies. Sissie, Ella, Bea and Belle.

Sissie is an 8 yr old mini doxie, and she 's my little girl, so I'm "sissiesmama". :)

I started this thread about 4 years ago. Makes me smile that it's still going :)
