After reading the thread about disgusting stuff that happens to us (thanks by the way LOL) It reminded me of the terms we use to bring levity to otherwise hideous situations.

My favourite at the moment?

Lung custard = phlegm

Anybody got any others?

we refer to boogies as "yum-yums" from an alzhiemers pt.

We used to say a very sick pt. that died in ER jpfrogged meaning just plain f###ing ran out of gas.

When I worked the Er we wrote on the board for self inflicted trauma: TFSTL (Too F**king Stoooopid To Live)

was not very politically correct but after awhile it is soooo true
