I'm the big practical joker at my hospital, and I just looove to pull them on my coworkers...but one day several years ago....THEY STRUCK BACK.

I was monitoring telemetry and things were kinda busy at the nurse's station, and this one young (*very cute and very new) nurse was awaiting a call back from the doc. She had to step away for a minute, and during that time I took it upon myself to "lubricate" her phone with some Surgilube.

She returned to take her call and as soon as the phone hit her ear you hear this "ewwww!!!!"..

It was then that it happened to me...as there were several of us around by this time...we're all laughing at our gentle "initiation" of our coworker. I'm so distracted by her that I don't notice one of our RTs had put a small plastic cup of applesauce in my chair. YES...COLD FRIGGIN' APPLESAUCE!!!

So I'm still laughing at my coworker..go to sit down....right into the sauce..CAN YOU SAY EWWWWW??!!! Oh, my God...it got EVERYWHERE...and I do mean EVERYWHERE...beware of applesauce...it goes right thru scrubs..right thru cotton....

Even I turned a bit red after that one...they got me good.
