Dialysis Nursing as a New Grad

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

I'm a new grad waiting to be endorsed in another state so I'm not sure when my license is coming. After that, I plan on applying to other hospitals, waiting for them to perhaps hire a new grad and then get hired.

I know myself and I would go crazy waiting for an indefinite period of time for something that might not even happen. Now, I got a dialysis job offer and I am about to take it.

I just have doubts, because I would probably have to stay here for 2 years because I don't want to burn bridges. It's outpatient so I don't know if it counts as experience I'm just unsure. I'll do my best on the job, but I don't know if this is a good road for me, as a new grad. I just feel like I can't wait for something right now, I NEED to do something, but I don't know if I'll regret not waiting.

Is it easy to get out of dialysis nursing and probably enter a med-surg floor after 2 years?
