I just accepted a job as an RN case manager for a home health agency after more than a year of looking without success.. this will be my first job as an RN and will be starting in a few days. However, I just got a call for an interview for a hospital position (the one I really wanted). I don't know what to do. I want to go to the interview as I've always wanted to be an ER nurse but I'll be working. Would it be ok to miss a day of work even though I am new and go to the interview?

If your heart is set to work in the ER then find a way to make it to the interview while maintaining the case manager job. If you have to lie and say that you have a family emergency or whatever you can come up with then do it.
I worked home health early in my nursing career and absolutely hated it. I didn't start love being a nurse until I got to the ER.

Hospital is better than home health nursing. But it depends on ur decision which area do u love :)

I agree and would say something came up and have to either leave early/miss work. Definitely wouldn't say I'm going to another interview.

Wait! You got a case manager job as a brand new RN? How did you do that?
