why enroll?

by tatara

Anyone who has a Master's Degree in Nursing? Please share how your degree helped you in practice as a nurse educator. I really want to understand its significance before I consider enrolling to qualify for work in the academe. Thanks in advance!

Default Re: why enroll?
Hi,
The only reason I'm doing it is because it is what is required to open more doors. I'm hoping to become a nurse practitioner so I can prescribe and counsel but its also a benefit to be able to teach. Sadly the academic world has always been one more concerned with the alphabet soup behind your name than your actual skills, imvho. I'm just playing their game.
