Olympia Medical Center anyone??

Nurses Career Support

Published

Hello!

So, while on this lovely job hunting journey (God, when does it end??) I came across Olympia Medical Center in LA but there are no mentioning of this place on Allnurses or anywhere else for that matter. Do you, or do you know anyone nurses who work here who can give me an insight as to what the work environment is like there and what their new grad RN salary is? IDK, anything would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks a bunch!

I don't work there but just doing my clinicals there I have to say I liked it very much. I saw myself working there especially in the ER. My brightest moments were in the ER lol. Participated in two code blues. Exciting! ?

Ohh wow! Talk about hand on during clinicals! lol

I did my clinicals in Florida and it was basically observing =(

Are you going to apply there once you're done with school?

@ih3ch001

I would like to apply at Olympia but I'm trying to out weigh my options first with RN school. I recently applied to three different LVN RN bridge programs in hopes I get into one. In the meantime I'm doing home health here and there. I don't want to commit myself to a full time job just yet. If all fails, then I'll start looking for a real full time job, even try applying at Olympia. :)

I did a contract there and I would return. Nice little community hospital. I was treated well.

Hi

I was looking into getting a per diem job here but was wondering what the base salary would be here for a Med/Surg nurse with at least 1 year experience. I want to make sure I'm making just as much my male nurse counterparts!

I would like to work per diem at this hospital. Could you advise what I should ask as my hourly rate? I have 1 year of experience in Med/Surg as a RN. Thank you!
