NYU Langone New Grad Interview Process 2017

Nurses Career Support

Published

So I'm a licensed new graduate nurse coming from outside of New York. I applied to NYU Langone and was contacted the very next day by a recruiter. Long story short, she emailed me, we talked for a bit, and she asked me for my availability to speak on the phone. I was completely surprised because I didn't think they would even look at my application since I'm licensed outside of New York!

Anyways, I have a phone call set up with her in a couple of weeks and don't know what to expect because she didn't really say what it was going to be about. Is this going to be like an interview type of phone call? She didn't say it was an interview so I'm guessing she's just calling to get more info. Do you guys this will lead to an in-person interview? Should I go ahead and start applying for my New York nursing license? I don't want to apply and pay the fee if I don't even know if I'll be invited to interview.

What is the interview process like at NYU Langone for new grads! Please let me know!

Hey guys I just went through the whole process and got hired last week. If you have any qs let me know (unless I'm super late to this post and you all already had interviews!!) lol

Hey I am a new graduate nurse looking for a position at NYU. I was wondering if you met the GPA requirements for the new graduate position? and if you were educated in New York or out of state?

Hi all,

I applied for the residency program and someone reached out to me for a phone interview. They explained to me that I would be a candidate for the April class and to let them know when I pass my NCLEX. I emailed and then they said there were not many open positions. Has this happened to any of you and do they get more openings?

Thank you!

It happened to me. It's cause most of them were hired before us it seems. I'm not sure if there will be a lot of positions opened for a while. í ½í¸ž

How do you know that there won't be many more opening?

I don't know for sure but I've been in touch for almost a month and they barely had any openings like around 3 units only. You may find what you're looking for but they weren't the units I was looking for. The only reason why I suspect that they may not have that many units available is because they had a huge hiring process from Sept-currently. I'm not sure how many units are available.
