Nursing jobs while on probation

Nurses Career Support

Good afternoon this is my first posting here and I'm hoping that someone might be able to offer some ides or suggestions on how I might possibly be able to get a nursing position with my license on probation. My license is unrestricted and I am able to perform any and all duties that any other RN can I simply need to have an employer submit monthly reports to the BoN for 6 myths then I can have the probation lifted. I have submitted over 70 applications to a number of different places and nothing. I have a lot of clinical and managerial experience to offer so I truly believe that it is simply the fact that the probation is on my license that I cannot get a reply from these providers. Does anyone have any ideas??

Sounds like first and foremost you need to get this probation lifted. You give no indication what you've been applying for. If you haven't already, broaden your search. My guess is that you may be able to find a nursing home somewhere that is desperate enough for a nurse that is willing to take you on. Look at facilities nobody wants to work in. Those are pretty much your only possibilities at the moment. Suck it up and do what you have to do.

Thank you for the response. I have been applying t everyplace I can think of nursing homes, LTAC's, wellness centers, hospitals, dialysis centers, you name it. I have almost 60 applications filled out and submitted in the last month alone. So i feel I "sucked it up", and am hitting those jobs that no one really wants, just wanted some new ideas, of anything else I could do to try and improve my chances.

Hmm, if the places that nobody wants to work aren't given you the time of day I'm thinking there is more to this story.
