Have you ever called in sick to have time before an interview?

This week, I have two interviews scheduled. One was yesterday, while another one was tomorrow. Although I had yesterday morning off, I was very stressed and was not able to rest in the morning. I also then had to work last night.

Tomorrow, I'm interviewing for a position at a company where, a year earlier, I had an unsuccessful orientation. I'm quite stressed out about this one, as you can imagine. I was supposed to work both jobs today but I ended up calling in to both, because I just need calm and peace before I interview with them tomorrow.

Has anyone else ever called in sick, or at least asked for time off before an interview?

are you looking for justification? why are you looking for strangers to reassure you of a decision that you made already. you do what you feel is best and live with it.

You do what you have to do. I declined to work an offered shift tonight because I became ill from the heat today. Do I miss the pay? Yes. Do I feel well enough to work? No. But yes, I do feel a little guilty for not being that "go to" employee. Happens every time.
