Did some of you feel like you would never make it though school?

I have been working at getting into LVN school.

I am so worried I will get started and funk out.

Is it true, you have to keep at lest a 70 with no room for error?

Was there a 2nd chance if someone funked a test in @ your LVN school?

Thanks for any advice?

I've got no answer to your question about keeping a 70 & 2nd chances, as I'm not sure what you talking about as I'm in a nursing school in the UK. We get second chances if we fail a class we get a chance to resubmit the assignment/ project that failed.

If you really want to do go for it. Your fears are normal, I have them all the time, I had to drop out due to problems I was having at the time, which I think makes me worse now, as I know how easy it is to leave the course. If you are determined to complete you will.

Not in nursing school yet until Jan, but I feel like that sometimes now in pre-nursing but it is all part of the package. We must do what we can to succeed. Best wishes to you. :)

i always felt like i would never make it through nursing school. it took me a year longer than i had planned but i did it. i just learned to take it one day at a time.

at my school we had to pass with 80% or better. if we failed an exam we had one more try at it. if we failed it a second time we were out of the program. if we failed 3 exams in each semester we were out of the program. of course if we were kicked out we had the option to ask to be let back in for another try but we only had one more try at it.

most of the time i felt like i would never make it out of school but i finally did. and believe me, if i can do it you can too. you just have to have faith. keep a positive state of mind and know that you aren't the only one with the same feelings. i recently took the licensing exam and passed and am going to start my first rn job on monday! i thought i'd never get to this point but it's finally happened because i kept believing in myself and my abilities.

so believe in yourself. you can do it. i think everybody that ever went through nursing school has felt the same way.

i hope this has helped. best wishes to you!

At my LPN school you had to maintain an average of 80%... you could fail test's, but your average for the subject EXAMPLE A&P had to be 80 overall... you could have had a 76% average and make a 84% on your final and be fine...

Thank you all for your support and kind words.

It is a big help just knowing someone else felt the same way I am feeling now.

It is normal to feel that nervous about flunking. While nursing schools often have high standards for passing, it is doable for people who make the effort and seek to succeed in nursing school.

I often felt like I was not gonna pass nursing school. A lot of us did. Even if we got good grades, we never felt sure until graduation. Even then, it was surreal.
