Anxious Nurse

Nurses Career Support

Published

Hi,

I'm a nurse in Australia,

I became a EEN and then an RN while I was doing my RNs I was working in a little nursing home and after I couldn't get a job so I works in another nursing home as an RN. I finally got a graduate job as an RN but lately have been having what I call "anxiety attacks"...

i am thinking about different medications for example the other day I got anxious over whether I gave panadol too close together then another time I got anxious over if I gave a residents extra half dose at frusemide at breakfast instead of lunch.. If I get really stressed I wonder if I gave a tablet from a different medication bottle and whether or not I should have just gone back later and even though I'm not sure and just anxious..reported myself

im in as different workplace with a much more supportive workplace but I as you read, get very anxious still from my previous workplaces

are there any suggestions as I what I should do?
