Yes, lifelong learning is essential. In fact, where I live, nurses have mandatory learning plans, reported at registration. We cannot renew our license unless certain requirements have been met.

Life long learning is vital for all nurses if they want to keep abreast with changing and challenging enviroment.Nurses should always be learners so that patients will recieve quality and safe care. Nurses roles are guided by ANA code of ethics and state laws.
