Bad driving record

I didn't put this in the "criminal record" forum, but feel free to move if need be. :)

I live in a very rural area and have been considering several jobs that would require me to use the facility's vehicle.

The rub is that I had a suspended license (that I was pulled over on in the spring of 2015) that was only reinstated just before getting my RN license in October of 2015.

No other criminal history that would keep me from getting a job.

What is considered a "good driving record"?? Would this suspension keep me from getting a job at a private facility? I've already been turned down for a state job (that would require a state vehicle). They didn't even call my references- due either to my driving record or preference (huge native and veteran population here).

Is it even worth applying for jobs that require a good driving record?

A suspended license will probably not qualify as a good driving record. Just be honest and talk about how it made you reflect and so on. It may or not prevent hiring. If you haven't taken a defensive driving course, that may be worth your time. It's worth discussing with the recruiter.

Likely it's not the initial offense but that you chose to drive while suspended that is the main factor here. And yes, I would say it disqualifies you from 'good driving record' type of jobs.

Pending what you were pulled over for......
