I couldn't get the link to work, but, regardless of what the article says, I am strongly opposed to increasing the # of nurses imported into the US from other countries. There are far too many unemployed (and underemployed) US nurses for the time being. Fortunately, I agree with NRSKaren that the bill will never pass ...

Isn't this an interesting twist on the sentiment about immigrants?

You may copy/paste the “link” into the search bar, it will lead you to that article…
no worries for American Nurses that IEN’s (specially the Filipino Nurses) will take away the jobs which are now quite elusive especially to the newly graduates (according to the many who couldn’t find jobs from the other posts) as retrogression is currently going on and will still for long years I think.
And if one could qualify for a “specialist visa”, an employer may still proved they can’t employ a resident in your country.
hmm, why am I posting such topic?...to somehow update anyone here that there are legislators have these interests but yeah, it will surely never pass as it is illogical that such kind of bill may favorable to the IEN’s while your own people are struggling for that decent job.
But I must admit, am one of the thousand Filipinos who have that American dream…
but in the right time….I will fulfill my dreams, when things would go okay…amen.
