Pass the word around:

NURSES HOUSE --- a national fund for nurses in need

When hardship strikes, it is especially difficult for those of us accustomed to giving care to seek support from others. To help nurses in need, Nurse's House extends short term financial assistance to registered nurses in difficulty as a result of injury, illness or disability.

For history, more details, and application for assistance, see

I heard about his place somewhere, they are supposed to be great.

THANK YOU :kiss so very very much. My dear sister is in just such a need. After 33 years of nursing.:kiss :kiss :kiss

OMG! I went to the site, and found the telephone area code is the SAME area code as my sister!

Funny how answers can be so close and we have to go so far to find them. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Divine providence? (Im glad my post may have helped someone).

Nurses House was a real rural country house that nurses started as a home for elderly NY RNs in the 1920's on Long Island, NY. Retired Nurses no longer live there & it has evolved into a national organization, affiliated with the NY State Nurses Assoc & the ANA, to help RNs in financial need all across the country. Nurses House is managed by a volunteer Board of registered nurses and a professional nursing administrative staff.

An example of the situations they assist in is the RN who was out on disability, receiving chemotherapy and couldnt make the mortage payment. She applied to Nurses House for help and was able to keep from losing her home.

Its a very worthy cause if youre ever looking for one to send your spare change to. :)

jt... you're simply the best !!!

Where do you find all this neat stuff !? You're a virtual library of information!

Thanx... that's really neat. Must keep that one in mind....wouldn't it be great if everyone here at All Nurses committed to give a few $$... how many members here now...?? And sent it in to them in one lump to show our appreciation? Anybody interested?

From my professional state nurses assoc which is also my labor union - The New York State Nurses Assoc. All I do is read my newsletter & stay involved & active in what my organization is doing.

(I'll glady contribute to your charitable collection)
