I wouldn't describe PACU as being critical care, although individuals have the possibility of going critical. PACU is more of a OR/Peri-Operative specialty.

CTU- Still not technically deemed a ICU.

Specializes in Psych ICU, addictions.

A correction: you can become board certified (RN-BC) in psych-mental health nursing. Ask me how I know

In addition, there are other psych certifications that can be obtained depending on what area inside of psych that you want to specialize in.

This diagram seems like a good draft, but I'm supsicious of anything that uses wikipedia as a reference. Also, I dislike the use of a christian symbol for hospice nurse, since we're nurses for all patients, not just christian patients.

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Seems there are quite a few specialties missing from this infographic and some missing information. I think I've seen a better one from a non-for-profit public school....

It's a decent start, but it is missing a lot.

The information posted about psychiatric nursing is inaccurate (additional education (beyond RN licensure) is not "required"), and rehabilitation nursing certification has nothing to do with psych nursing.

I am really surprised with all the hospitals that are now becoming or working on total joint or back centers that you failed to mention Certification for Orthopedic Nurses. The National Association for Orthopedic Nurses has been in existence for many years. I joined it because of all the updates and current articles and especially the yearly convention. A great place to make those social network contacts as well.
