Can I take Sudafed? Well I did..TPAPN

Well I have a nasty cold and had to work this weekend. I tried not to take anything but was not going to be able to work. My head was about to explode. I got angry about not being able to take medicine (I am scared to take ibuprofen even), called my sponsor in a huff, then made a rash decision to take Sudafed and Advil in the middle of the night. I felt so much better and was able to work but now am regretting it. I am obsessing over my urine clearance of psuedoephedrine. This sucks. I know it is my fault. I am sick, it has been the weekend and I cannot go to my doctor, and I feel like I am in prison.

:crying2:

Did you take the phenylephrine type? They might not even test you for the pseudoephedrine this time.

In my state during my yearly check in with my MD he writes that I can take Sudafed, Benadryl, and a couple of other medications PRN. This is the easiest way to get it covered.

The truth of the matter is that you are on a more strict probation than many people who are involved in actual court proceedings. It is the cost of doing business with the BON, and it thankfully will be over one day... until that time you will be living a life under the microscope.

Sorry you are sick and having a rough time- this is definitely not easy.

Get a prescription for the Sudafed from your physician. It's a class B drug that's allowed as long as you have a prescription.

Only ones on list are Allegra and Claratin not the ones you sign for just plain OTC kind and yes they test for Sufafed because it is used to make other street drugs and my old case manager said no go even with Rx
