Nclex fail times, obtainment and states endorsements

So I'd please like to ask this question here. Just learned that Michigan is a state where you can only fail nclex 3 times max until taking a state approved nurse refresher course or even maybe redo the entire program.

Do you nurses know which other states have this or any other similar rules a fail # and does another state "care" concerning its endorsement over?

I ask because yes or..no I have not passed my nclex on the first time, but am now an RN just like you, no less ;-), and really because for example FL(not 100% sure because I was looking at multiple states at the same time) endorsement ask for a transcript-like of nclex attempts and I wondering if that was the end goal of their inquiry.

CA has no limit. You can fail as many times as you want and keep reapplying (and forking over your money, of course).

Each state will have their own requirements and some do I believe state that you must pass NCLEX within a certain time from graduating an approved nursing program and I think NRSKarenRN posteda link in a thread from where you heard this from originally

Ok so anything below 3 failures would be ok to endorse in FL?

I do not see the reason for them not endorsing a fully qualified nurse because of the number of their exam failures.

At the failure time it was not of their business, but between me and my state. At the time of endorsement it is their business that I do not have any restrictions on my license, faults, cases pending, criminal records, etc. you know things of that nature.

I don't know if anyone is understanding my thoughts, am I reaching to think so?

I just hope it is still possible to endorse over to other states with an nclex exam failure, then RNLIC obtainment from a U.S. state.

hi, i just wanna ask if BON california didn't change their policy? so until now the max attempt to pass nclex-rn is still unlimited? do they check the year of graduation, coz i graduated 8 years ago so im thinking they will not allow me anymore to test?

hope someone can enlighten me? thanks in advance...

I e-mailed the BON not too long ago regarding number of attempts for NCLEX and if a refresher course was needed. They basically said there was no limit.

But my question was a generic question. Do e-mail or call the BON and ask regarding your specific case.
