World Registration

hey guys, i want to ask those who already done this process.

i passed nclex ca BON 2007, i want to endorse to NY since im in montreal right now.

i already emailed the NYS and they replied and instructed me what forms to send. my problem is form 3. i dont know how much does CA BON charge for the processing since its the form from NYS to be sent to CA. ive read some reviews, that CA charge 60$ or 10$ im not sure. but where do i get that form? thanks!

You cannot endorse as you have no license. You need to apply to NY as a nursing license by examination. You will need to complete CVS from CGFNS (takes ~6 months). Once CGFNS is complete you apply to NY and then pay CABRN to transfer you NCLEX pass results to NY for a fee. It's no longer listed so you need to contact CABRN for the form & fee.

NY will not look at your application until they have the CVS report from CGFNS.

hi thanks so much, before i start the process, ive read some post from one applicant, that cgfns didnt accept her nclex test result because they were asking for license no. issuance and expiration?

You are applying for a CVS which is an initial application for a nursing license by examination. Once CVS is complete then you apply to the NY BoN and have the NCLEX pass results transferred from CA to NY. Do not tell CGFNS that you are endorsing as you cannot since you have no license to endorse. NY may or may not accept the results that are now 9 years old. CA has destroyed your file by now as they only keep files active for 3 years. If you plan on attempting to secure a visa to work in NY be prepared to answer a lot of questions if you haven't worked as a nurse in over a decade. You may be required to take a nurse refresher course to update your skills and knowledge. Most of NY is not lacking for inexperienced nurses.

hi thanks, i contacted NYS BON recently regarding my case, they actually replied promptly, they said that i have to send form 3 to CALI BON for them to fill in and send to NYS. I even told them that i passed the nclex 2007. I also read some post here that CALI BON retain the test results, only if u apply CALI for your LIcense Registrations that you have to re apply again if your file was already been distroyed after 3 years. I never stop working as a nurse, i applied in other countries. Only when i came to canada more than 1 yr ago i stop working because i have to process all registrations etc until now i have no clue on how long i"ll be waiting to get my license. i want to make sure before starting my cvs that my nclex will be accepted because fees are expensive to process.

Average 6-9 months processing from requesting CVS to receiving ATT from NYBoN. It's not quick
