Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

World Registration

Published

Hi! I would like to send my application once i passed the ielts to AHPRA melbourne. What do you think guys are the requirements needed for my application? Thanks

I think, you should look up the APHRA site and go to NMBA and look for the form ''agos....?'" the form for international educated nurses, which gives you the information that you require.

Hello everyone! I have been reading posts for quite some time, but I'm just a new member. Thanks for your great and helpful posts.

I am aiming for the October ARNTP. Anybody here who has finished the course or who knows the process of AHPRA application with ARNTP? SInce the Eligibility letter is not required for ARNTP, are students allowed to process with AHPRA even while the course is ongoing? Or are the students required to finish the course first before they will be entertained by AHPRA? Thanks...

One more thing, with regards to the Course Description / Subjects with number of hours that is required by AHPRA, must I secure a copy of all my subjects with their hours including the minor ones? Or will the RLE Summary be enough since it has the number of hours specified? THANK YOU>>> ;)

Hi! Has anyone here tried the phone interview by Alpine Health? Please do share. Thanks!

Can somebody help me regarding my status, I am currently studying a diploma course here in Australia. I have a 572 visa and will study BP in ETEA later this year, if I will change my visa to 575, will I receive a "no further stay"? Can I still stay here in Australia after the BP? Can someone please help me regarding this matter. Thanks!!!

Hi guyz! Do any of you have patringrn's contact number or email address? I can't send PM yet. I just want to ask her some questions. Please email me here: [email protected]. Thanks! Or, patringrn, if you read this, please send me a message please. Thanks!

This is according to my friend which I am.not sure i understood correctly, she said that while doing the course, your papers will be passed to Ahpra right away and weeks after you graduate, you will be given.your registration. I'll ask her again.I passed two separate documents. One for my rle summary only and the other one including all the subjects i took in.college with description and number.of.hours

Anyone for ETEA this June 2013 intake??

Need help please!

Good day!

i have received an email from my registration officer and i have some problems with my papers. i hope somebody can enlighten me here.

First:

Identification documentsPlease provide certified copies of identification from categories A – It is not clear whether your passport has been certified by a notary public. Please have your identification documents recertified by a Notary Public

I am pretty sure that the photocopy of my passport was notarized since it's the last document that i attached, should i pass any other document or should i just send another notarized photocopy of it?

Second:

Qualifications

For information on the requirements, please refer to the national Board website: www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au and the Framework for Assessment of Internationally Qualified Nurses and Midwives

General Nursing

Please note the minimum education requirement of a registered nurse in Australia is a Bachelor degree. A transcript of the theory subject hours and clinical subject hours as well as a record of clinical experience areas is required. In order for an applicant to register as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) in Australia they must demonstrate both theory and clinical hours in the following streams:Medical/Surgical, Adult Nursing, Community Nursing and Mental Health Nursing.

The Board require specific hours undertaken during your degree for the following streams: A breakdown of Hours undertaken in theory for Medical, Surgical, Community and Mental Health Nursing and also the breakdown of hours undertaken in clinical practice for Medical, Surgical, Community and Mental Health Nursing. In the case that you are not able to obtain a transcript of clinical and theory hours undertaken in the above streams, an official letter can be accepted.

Please have your qualification documents re-certified according to the AHPRA requirements.

I sent them the "red-ribboned" copies of my TOR and RLE hours just to make sure that they'll not ask me anything with regards to these documents. what should i send them, a notarized copy of these documents? anything that has something to do with my academic qualifications was included in the mail that i sent them.

Third:

Professional Reference

We require and original or correctly certified copy of a professional reference which attests to your ability to function in the workplace and carry out the tasks that you are required to perform.

All Professional references: Must be from your employer(s) meeting the criteria as outlined below. You are required to provide professional reference(s) from employer(s) with evidence that you meet professional competencies in each position

The professional reference comes from your Nurse/Midwife Manager (who must be a Registered Nurse/Midwife) and must include all the following;

-Experience in the role that they hold e.g clinical, education, research, management

-Describe the practice setting e.g 100 bed surgical ward

-The scope of the role e.g registered nurse, student nurse

-Duties of the role and how you performed those duties

-Level/grade of the position that you hold/held

-Whether you worked in a supervised or unsupervised capacity

-Whether you are/ were employed full time or part time. If you were employed part time the number of hours per week

My reference letter does not have all the above-stated criteria, such as the roles and duties and the supervise stuff. does this mean that i should provide a reference letter from my supervisor that will contain all my clinical skills and my degree of competence in every skill that i possessed?

Lastly, should i notarized my reference letter or the original document that will suffice?

I hope that you can give me answer my queries..i'm doing this without the help of any agent or agency, i'm just depending on what i understand and from your insights in this forum.

Thank you.

Thank you Chelseaxyrene... I am planning to lodge an application to AHPRA immediately. But do you think it would be better to collect all the appropriate documents first and then lodge an application while I am doing the ARNTP course already? WOuld it be more beneficial? Thank you

Hi seph,

from your experience, how long did it take until you received your offer letter from IHNA? when did you apply? thanks.
