Hi, I am a foreign graduate nurse, live in Virginia. My visa status is H4. I want to take my board exam from Maryland board of nursing. Am I eligible to take from Maryland BON? Also, can I take ILA OPI exam? After credentials evaluation how long time I can take to prepare for board exam? how can I contact Maryland board of nursing? Could anyone help me out with appropriate info? I appreciate your great help.

Check out the BON website for requirements as International trained nurse, usually 4-6 month processing time before decision on eligibility to sit NCLEX then you have eligibility for certain amount of years but once you have paid Pearsonvue and they send you your ATT then on average you have 90 days to sit the exam. Do not register with Pearsonvue until you have eligibility from BON
