Kabayan, never heard of this passage? But you need to qualify as FIRST-TIME foreign applicant as with ANY endorsement. In CA, the SS# and copy of your PH nursing license are needed (unless you're a USC or a dual citizen), if you don't have these, there's a very high chance of being denied and a waste of your application fees.

You should know that CA has only approved a handful of PH applicants since Nov 2011, the enforcement month and year of the concurrency regulations.

Unless you graduated pre-2004, you might be okay. Even if one has years of RN experience, you still need to pass the same minimum CA BRN requirements for international student. There's a lot of reads here in this forum, so I would take the time to read them all to grasp the disappointments and frustrations you'll be facing as those topics relating to anything in CA.

Not sure why you went to those states in the first place versus just applying into CA from the beginning, all this "state-hopping" is a waste of time and money.

im actually here in the us. i have my ss # too. they just have a requirment

current and active license, you must also obtain verification of passage of the appropriate licensing

im just wondrin if it is the same as the verification of license form from the state where you originally got your license

Your PH nursing license.

But again, just read the many many threads of those being denied in CA, unless you feel ALL your courses were done concurrently. PH grads and nurses from post-2004 to present have been denied, you'll find the answers to your questions in these forum.

I'm not so sure but I think it's different from the verification of license. If you took the exam in Vermont BON, it means that they have the proof that you passed the NCLEX. Maybe you can try calling them to be sure?

I know that those who took the NCLEX in Cali that didn't have SSNs can't be issued licenses. I've read somewhere in the forums that they were instead issued a "pass letter" that they used to "endorse/apply" to a different state BON. MAYBE that's the verification of passage.

Good luck! :)

It could also be your verification of license from PRC since that's where you got your first nursing license. It would be better if you'd post the entire statement so we'd have a better idea and can help you more. :)

For International Graduates: In addition to obtaining license verification from the state where you hold a current and active license, you must also obtain verification of passage of the appropriate licensing examination from the board of nursing where you took the examination (NCLEX-RN, SBTPE, or five-part licensing examination in Canada)

I suppose you should get that verification of passage from Vermont BON. :)

what I did is, I sent my verification of passage to FLorida, and they will just send the form to CA BON... I will also pay to NURSYS for the verification of License...

Ahhh, okay, so it sounds like you might be a pre-2004 PH grad nurse (or maybe get lucky being a 2004 grad. As so far there's just been one other recent endorser (also a 2004) who received her CA license.

Good luck with the new CA job, is it with a hospital?
