Hi! I'm a Filipino Citizen, i'm a still student 2nd Year BSN. I'm a Green card holder in US. My question is, what is the best advice that you can give for me? Like for early preparation. Those steps that can Lead me to my success! 😊 hehe. Please help me those step, please send those links, all those information. Thanks in Advance nurses!!!

If you're speaking in terms of early preparation to become an RN in the US, my best advice to you is to finish your nursing school to obtain the degree, be patient (as in the process to become an RN here requires time), and to know where you would like to live here to build as a foundation for your nursing career. Each state's BON has a different standard and requirement. You are better off checking the BON website for the state you will live in for the future. :)

Option B: Quit school, go to USA. Get a CNA (Few weeks) go to work at hospital and have them pay your school (part of job benefits).

Get you LPN (1 year degree) and then work on getting your ADN (2 year from community college) and the you can sit for NCLEX to be a RN.

I also have option c, d ,e .......

I think it is best to finish school there only because it is cheaper there and you only have 2 more years or so to finish your BSN. Then you should know that there are only 2 states that would let you take the NCLEX (each state has their own standards for qualified NCLEX-takers). I think one is NY and not sure about the other.

So my advice is to do your own due diligence. Research about the requirements for the state you want to apply for as a foreign-graduate RN. So when you finish school, you will be well-equipped with knowledge and be prepared for the long process ahead of you. Good luck!
