YAY!!! Number 4 ain't to shabby. There are a hell of a lot of jobs out there & finishing where we did is cool by me. How did PAs get ranked above us?

Specializes in Family Nurse Practitioner.

I disagree this is good news for us. As if there aren't already enough graduates from As Seen On TV universities already saturating many markets. They will be coming out of the woodwork now.

I don't know Jules I think the flood of new grads has to do with opportunities available and the proliferation of educational institutions (some good & some bad) to fill that void. I don't think there is any way of keeping the market secret so I'll take the opportunities as good news

How did PAs get ranked above us?

They're both ranked at 8.2/10 so someone just flipped a coin to decide to list them first I guess.

I did find it odd that NPs were ranked "below average" in flexibility, a metric based on "alternative working schedule and work-life balance", and PAs were ranked as "above average" for the same metric...

I also found it odd that the narrative for the PA makes it seem like PAs should have more autonomy, however, for NPs, they had to point out that it's controversial that they have that autonomy.
