I graduated and passed NP board as adult-gerontology NP in 2015. found my first NP position (long-term care) and worked a short period (5 month) then found it was not my fit(long time overtime work on daily basis for month, traveling, and complicated relationship) and resigned. CPT-E started but not finished. now I have trouble to find next NP job and worried about CPT-E.

Also I m concerning the employer will think I m a jumper or question about why I m leaving my first NP in short period of time from my resume and bypass me just from my resume. actually I did not think I am short attention-spine, my RN experience was in the same hospital for almost 7 years. kind of frustrated about current situation. except continue sending resume and pray, any body had similar situation or any suggestions? THANKS!!

Welcome! This thread is specific to nurse practitioners. Therefore, we have moved it to our Nurse Practitioners forum to elicit more responses. Good luck to you.

Specializes in FNP.

Find a local NP organization and join it. You'll be able to network and find out a host of opportunities. In San Antonio we have SANAP.org for example. Good luck.

What is CPT-E? Sometimes jobs are not a good fit or as you found out many expect more from you then was discussed during the interview.

You could always try an agency and try a bit of locums for a bit while you find your next position.
