Hard to find job - Recruiter?

Specialties NP

Published

Hi everyone.

This is my first post, but I thought I might get some advice from other NP's on this one. I am a new FNP, passed boards Aug 1st, and have been having a terrible time finding a job. I am in the South Florida area, really closer to West Palm Beach than anything else. I was wondering if anyone has used a recruiter to find a job. I am willing to relocate for the right opportunity, but would truly like to stay put. I still have my job as an RN, but want more than anything else to start working as an NP.

Thanks for any advice.

Debbie

Hang in there, my friend! It takes a while to land that first NP job. It took me 8 months to find my first NP job. I just started my first NP job 3 weeks ago and I just love it, but we do have to be patient if we want to land that right job.

I know of a phenomenal recruiter who is based out of Tampa, FL but he recruits for everywhere. PM me if you are interested.

I would like to find a job how do you pm.

I am in south FL, graduated May 09, still not full time job. I found a contract job in Orlando and do get interviews for the more rural areas of FL (Naples, Ocala, St. Pete/Tampa, etc) if you can relocate I'd try those areas. If you can relocate I'd move out of FL all together. My friend just got hired by Minute Clinic in Kendall/Dade but you have to speak spanish fluently, this is his first NP job and we graduated in May. 8 months ago!

Hi guys! I know of a great recruiter in Florida, based out of Tampa that recruits for Nurse Practitioners all over the country. Just send me a private message if you are interested. He is extremely helpful and great person to work with!

Also, for those of you in Florida willing to relocate, the chicagoland area has tons of jobs for FNPs especially in retail health. And the pay is pretty good too. There are jobs out there. The good ones are hard to find, but just keep sending your resume out and keep networking and something is bound to come up. I graduated in July of 2009 and I just started my first NP job three weeks ago. And it's working a place I never thought I would be, but I am so glad I held out and waited because I really enjoy my new job. Keep searching and it will come! Remember, "Seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened unto you." :)

I am trying to figure out how to message you- Cardiology EP NP- about the recruiter but I can't figure out how to private message you! Please send me the info!
