Depends on the ER. The rural one I used to work at, the docs made $75/hr. Hard to 'demand' $80/hr there. If you know of one making that, PM me so I can move there and start working. I don't care if it's in Finland.
Well, pack those bags and come on down. I take ER call at $100/hr......

A 100 dollar an hour monster!!!!! Yeah I'll be lookin you up in a few mos!

Yes - I would LOVE to do ED when I finish - I am doing a rotation this coming spring in the ED at a major trauma center and I am really looking forward to it. I have done ICU, ER, NICU, case management and home health so my background is pretty broad. When I graduate in May my goal is to work in an ER for at least two years, even if only part time. I LOVE kids - but don't want to lose all the hyperlipidemia/diabetes/older adult management stuff either.

    I'm going the FNP route!

Does this mean you get paid $100/hr on call, or $100/hr if you get called and start working?

And, come on down to... TX? AR? LA? Sounds like you're from a southern state... )

    Hello, cgfnp,

I am the sole healthcare provider when I do ER. I am physiclally present for the entire shift, usually 24 hour call. And, paid $100/hr. Yes, located in Arkansas.
