Raleigh area questions!

I am looking to move to Raleigh, probably around March 2015. I have a BSN with 2 years experience telemetry and 3 years experience in ER (have ACLS, PALS, ENCP and TNCC certifications). Can anyone give me an idea on what I could expect in terms of pay? The range listed on Rex's site (the only base pays I have seen) is roughly 22-28 per hour which is a pretty good gap and I'd like to narrow it down a little more if possible. I'm not stuck on Rex, it's just the hospital that I have seen listings that included pay rates. I am also interested in info on shift and weekend differentials. I currently work Fri, Sat, Sun night shift (7pm-7am) and am not at all opposed to keeping that schedule.

Does anyone know the availability of that kind of schedule in the area hospitals? I'd like to stay in an ER but would consider moving to an ICU. Of course, if a floor position is what I can get then that's what I would take. I've seen some posts about people having trouble finding a job but most seem to be new grads, with 5 years experience how difficult will I find it? And if anyone can provide info on patient-nurse ratios that would also be helpful!

Are there any areas of town that we should not consider when looking to move? It will just be my husband and I and while we will probably stay in Raleigh for a long time, we aren't really looking at the first move to be permanent so don't care about school districts aside from how it impacts resale value.

I have just under 2 years experience. Base 21.67 shift diffs-230 to 1045 pm is 3.50. 1045 to 715am is 5. Weekend is 10.00. If you are day shift weekend is sat and sun. Night weekends is Fri sat sun. Not sure how other units are run but my unit is self schedule. I mostly work weekend nights only with 2 Mondays a 6 week schedule thrown in.

They are all pretty comparable 20-22 to start. Shift diffs are highest at WakeMed, I think. $4-6 nights 6-10 weekend nights
