Specializes in picu.

My husband is looking into taking a job in North Carolina. Does anybody know good hospitals in the Charlotte area for peds/picu/nicu? Also, what is the pay with approx 3 years RN experience? Thanks!

I'm not sure about pay, but check out Levine's Children's Hospital. I think it's through Carolina's Medical Center. Baptist in Winston Salem has Brenner's children's hospital.

If you want a teaching hospital, then go with Levine Children's Hospital. It is part of Carolinas Medical Center. We're a Level Trauma Center, also have the highest level NICU. Personally, I'm partial to PICU, since I work there.

Presbyterian Hospital also has a NICU and a PICU, but is not a teaching hospital.

Pay is greater than 22/hr.

Just remembered something I forgot to put in my first post - I heard on Monday that our NICU had over-hired, so I'm thinking your husband might not have much luck in the NICU. I'm not sure about PICU (where I work) - I just know that we have been chasing our rears lately with high volume/high acuity.

I your husband has peds CV experience, that would be a real bonus - I know that section of our unit is actively looking for nurses.
