Hi all .... just wanted to take a moment to let you know that Brian has appointed me as the new moderator for the North Carolina Forum. I am excited and thrilled to play this role. It is my small way of adding back to allnurses.com. I have been a member since 2003 and love this board.

I am working on some ideas that are quite exciting and will hopefully be helpful for the members that frequent this forum. In addition to what I am working on, I would love to have some suggestions from you. What types of ideas do you have to stimulate conversation and topics that might interest the people that frequent the North Carolina Forum?

Let me know by posting to this thread. In addition, if you are a lurker, I want to say hello and welcome to you. Sometimes making that first post can be difficult. You are not always sure what to say and afraid that you might even say the wrong thing. I remember, as I was there once too. Please take the time to just post a hello note. I will be sure to say hi back as I am sure other members will.

I am committed to making the North Carolina Forum one of the top traveled forums on the board and excited to be a part of the staff at allnurses.com. Please let me know what kind of ideas you have and I will be posting mine soon.

By the way .... I am in Asheville for those that are close by. LOve the mountains of western North Carolina ..... :biggringi

Thanks,

RNPATL - Patrick

New North Carolina Forum Moderator

PS - I am also moderating 3 other forums and will be posting similar messages there (just so you know).

Hi Patrick,

Sorry that this is a belated "Congrats" on being the new moderator for the NC forum. To be honest this is the first time I have looked at the NC forum. I've been too busy looking at the other state forums & conversing with them. Well we both have something in commom.........Asheville. I work in Asheville & live in the big metropolis of Candler.:)

Wow, great to meet you and I am glad you are on the BB. Sorry to see that you are leaving our wonderful areas for Indiana. Hopefully the move is a good one for you. I visited LaPorte last year and the place is beautiful with all the farm land and the fresh corn was WONDERFUL!!!!! But I am a mountain boy and love being here.

Thanks for the hello. :)

Your welcome! My husband & I are both from Southeast MO & need to move closer to "home." When I left MO in 95 I thought I would never miss corn fields, but now I do so I know it's time to go. We'll be back to the mountains for visits because we have made a lot of close friends here. I'm sure we'll want a break from the heat & humidity as well. Fresh corn is great, as well as farm land, & lots of cows!

Pat,

You will do a wonderful job as moderator. How in the world do you find the time to do all that you do? I admire your committment and energy. I will look forward to reading the posting on this BB. Keep up the good work.

Wow, thanks for the compliment :) ... it is very appreciated. I love allnurses and had been a member for a while and thought I would volunteer to moderate (my small way of giving back and supporting the board). I was surprised and happy when they accepted me :uhoh3: . I really love the forums that I am moderating and have a long line of BS, which makes starting converations easy :imbar .

Hope you and I can discuss many topics. Thanks again for the compliment, it really does mean a lot.
