Fall 2011 Mercy School of Nursing Hopefuls...

U.S.A. North Carolina

Hi there! I have applied to Mercy SON for Fall 2011. I am anxiously waiting to find out about acceptance. Is there anyone else who has applied to MSON for Fall 2011 as well? We could keep each other updated in case we hear anything:)

I'm not a night/weekend applicant. I'm going into the regular daytime program, so I don't know anything about the night/weekend program. I do know that they accepted only about half the number of applicants they do most semesters, so I suppose that made the number of night/weekend applicants even smaller.

Is there anyone else who has been accepted at Mercy for August 2011 that wants the night/weekend program? I have been accepted and really need the night/weekend program to fit my schedule. I hope they come up with a solution to still have it! Hopefully, we will hear some good news next week regarding the program.

I was wait listed for the night/weekend program. I don't understand why they wouldn't enroll the people on the wait list. Like you, olivergirl, I was really counting on the night/weekend program. Quitting my job is just not an option right now. I'm actually surprised that program isn't more popular....

I did email Mercy today and was told that they are trying to find a solution. I hope it works out for you. I'm not getting my hopes up that it will work out for me, though. Will you email me when they let you know the outcome? [email protected] I would really appreciate it!

Has anyone received any info in the mail yet regarding registration/uniforms/drug screening?

I was told that they are trying to find a solution but it sounds like they need more people to fill the night and weekend classes. If anyone is interested in starting in this program, you should email Mercy and let them know - especially if you are on the waiting list. Classes are from 6:00/6:30PM - 10:00PM two days a week and clinicals are on Saturday from 6:45AM - 3:00PM.

I haven't heard anything yet either. I called yesterday and talked with Mrs. ****** to be sure that they received my letter and payment because my check had not cleared yet. She said that they did. I meant to ask when information packets would be mailed but I forgot. When I get something I will let you know.

Where can you find out the times for clinicals? I am going into the day program and was just curious about what my schedule is going to look like.

Good news - they are still offering the evening/weekend program for this fall despite the low enrollment number for this option. Information packets are supposed to be mailed today.

I got my packet today. Lots to do over the next few months:)

Got mine as well...yes, busy busy!

Same here! Overwhelmed & excited.....

I was told that they don't separate out the day evening/weekend from day. I wonder why that is, there would be more students availabe.
