Fall 2011 Mercy School of Nursing Hopefuls...

@ Beggin4Mercy-

Thanks so much for this information. I am definitely going to do the Human Growth and Development this way. I called the school where I plan to do the online BSN and they said they do accept CLEP for this class. However, when I called back to get the passing score I talked with someone different and they said that they do not take clep for it. Oh well. It can still help me out right now. I will just have to take the class later when I am not quite so swamped. I also thought that I had heard that decisions would be made by Feb. 1. Then when I looked online, the date for notification was by Feb.15. I am driving myself crazy waiting on this letter! I actually teach right now and our Letter of Intent for next year is due by Friday. I am so tempted to call Mercy and explain this situation to see if they can tell me something before then. I just hate the sit and wait time.

Congratulations techr2nurse!!!! I received my letter today - I've been waitlisted but hopefully I'll be joining you in the fall! Anyone know how the waitlist works? They didn't tell me what number I am on the list so I don't really know what to think!

I thought for sure they would have told you what waitlist number you are. I bet if you called them they could tell you. Good luck!

@ Beggin4Mercy- Congratulations to you too! I am ready to get more information (Orientation, books, uniform ordering, etc...). I am so glad we didn't have to wait till Tuesday or Wednesday. :yeah:

Thanks techr2nurse! It was definitely a nice surprise to receive our letters today and not on the last possible day. I suppose the quicker we get our forms and checks mailed in, the quicker we will get more info back from the school. I can't wait to meet everyone and get started!

Hi, everyone. Glad to see some other MSON hopefuls on here. I was also waiting anxiously for an acceptance letter but I was wait listed. I was hoping to start the night/weekend program in the fall and am a little sad that it might not happen. I guess all I can do now is keep my fingers crossed....

@Medic2131- Good luck with getting into the program. I have read most of the posts on here and it sounds like there are a good many people who get wait listed but still get in before classes begin. Keep us posted. :nurse:

I agree with techr2nurse....from what I have read, some people have been accepted with only a couple weeks left until class starts.....so be ready for anything!

@techr2nurse,

I laughed when I read your last post. It sounds like you are a lot like me.....mulling over hundreds of these old threads just to hold on to what little hope we can conjure up. Ahhhhh, what a relief that I don't have to do that to myself anymore. *wine
