I have been looking at hospitals around the central region/Raleigh area. I was wondering if anyone has any info on the staff RN satisfaction at Central Carolina Hospital? Or any other info on what it's like to work there would help...... Also for Duke, WakeMed, Rex, or UNC?.... Thanks!!

My mother in law is an APN in that area- she works at the hospital, but not for the hospital. I'm not sure about staff satisfaction. I'm wary of the big companies like that, especially Tenet.

I went to Central Carolina Community College and did my clinical rotations there. Its a decent hospital. Most of the nurses appreciated the students help on the floor and was very encouraging. If the commute was not 1hr and 15min one way, I would apply for their new grad internship. I think you should apply, you have nothing to gain but experience. I can tell you that the big hospitals that you named have an overwhelming amount of new grad applications but very few openings so they can be very selective. I applied to two if them and have not heard anything.I am going to stick with the smaller hospitals in my area right now. You still gain experience but maybe not as much trauma and critical care cases. IMO I would rather start out taking baby steps and eventually gain enough experience and confidence to take on the bigger hospitals.
