Anyone have any infoon how their new nurse orientation is? Or any info at all about the hospital? Thanks

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. The open interview days were tues and wed. I think if you apply online to a position they send you an invite.

Hey ECRN,

Were you actually interviewed? When I went, one of the managers just showed myself and four other women around the units but never actually interviewed any of us. I only saw the NICU interviewing individually.

Has anyone gotten a call back? It seems like from the past experience, it takes roughly a week after the interview to hear back. Anything yet?

ECRN143, rennur505, or anyone else,

How was the interview? I have an interview on Thursday, and I am so incredibly nervous! Do they ask situation questions? Or standard interview questions? How is it working there?

Hello all. I'm just curious if any of you applied to Westchester Medical Center as new grads? I have applied there non-stop and have not been contacted. I did my Pediatrics clinical rotation there and one of my preceptors works there as a NP, but still nothing. Can anyone tell me how they were able to get their foot in the door? Also, if anyone can PM me the recruiter's e-mail address (I know her name, just not her e-mail address)...I would truly appreciate it! Thank you!

I applied to Westchester MC as a new grad, I just got an email from someone there inviting me to an open interview for this week, but I'm not going 'cause I just recently got a full time job at an ASC.

A few people I know work there and they all got their jobs through the open interviews, just keep applying and eventually they'll invite you

Thank you for your response! Do you have a BSN? I will continue trying. I am re-vamping my resume and hopefully that will help. :)

NurseKNYC,

In my experience, it took them nearly a month to call me in for an interview. Just keep applying and waiting. They are Union, so their hiring is a bit different. It is not a process that gets done on an as needed basis, it gets done on a schedule.

Did anyone go the group interviews in late September? has anyone heard back from them yet? I heard it takes a couple of weeks though to get a response. Jw....

I was wondering when new grads finish school and when they are hired. Is it once a year or more than once? Thanks

NurseKNYC What do you mean that they are union and that their hiring is different?

Hey I went in early October but nothing yet.
