  1. Have you noticed any other impact of the Obamacare on your jobs? I heard that there would be job cuts, but nurses are such important elements and already I find that there is a shortage.
  2. Great thanks!
  3. I think that there is a new procedure with the CGFNS now, can that be? I just do not want to take twice the same sort of exam. Where can you take the NCLEX exam outside the US? And sorry, I cannot answer your PM as I do not have enough posts to PM yet. Thanks though.
  4. NurseKNYC What do you mean that they are union and that their hiring is different?
  5. I was wondering when new grads finish school and when they are hired. Is it once a year or more than once? Thanks
  6. I would also love to hear what kind of questions are asked at the interview. Thanks guys!
  7. Hello, Is it possible to skip the CGFNS exam and only do the NCLEX? I guess I will have to ask them directly. Hospitals are closing? May I ask why?
  8. Hi Gem, Wow, are you saying that it would take 5 years to process the information? Did you have to take any additional courses or were you recognized as a equivalent of an RN automatically? Is the CGFNS the same as the NCLEX or do you have to pass both exams? I guess I am just a beginner in the domain so any info is surely helpful (or stressful). Thanks!
  9. I live in Belgium. I would like to know if there are any other nurses from Belgium, France or the UK that have used the services if the CGFNS. Are the studies easily recognized by the CGFNS? I'd love to hear how the process is going for other people. Thanks.
  10. Hi there! I was just wondering if there were any nurses from Europe out there and if so, if you wanted to share you experience on how the paper work went? Have any of you moved to NYC? Looking forward to hearing from you. Cheers!
  11. In which state is this happening? Sounds like any excuse will do to cut pay. sorry to hear!
  12. Perfect, thank you!
  13. Thanks for the thought Wendy. What I really wanted to know was how to go about it. Should I just send my resume or go to the hospitals? Cheers!
  14. Hello everyone, I am new here and wanted to know if anyone wanted to share experiences and hints on how to get a job in NYC? My husband's been moved to NYC and I have 10 years of experience in surgical ICU but am an RN. I've sent to resumes to different hospital but no feedback. Thanks a bunch!
