VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Congrats NY mom, my interview is tomorrow. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of questions did they ask?

Thanks trini! It's a math and reading review class and on the last day of class we take a retake exam that is similar to the entrance exam, and we have to get a minimum of 9.0 in math and a minimum of 11.0 in reading, and if I pass I'm in!! Hey praise, they basically explain the bridge to u and then they ask u if u are interested and if u are able to make the hours cause it's a two week program and from 5-9 Mon threw Thursday, so they just want to make sure u can take time out, she said we can't be absent or late, it costs 500 bucks, yeah it's expensive but to me it's worth it..goodluck praise!..Geo where are u? LOL

Congrats to all of you. I am excited just reading all of your posts. :yeah: I KNOW I'm not getting in. Still did not even get test results yet :banghead: Good luck to all of you in your interviews and in VEEB!

Thanks hopeful, u really should call veeb tomorrow because maybe your results got lost in the mail, everyone is suppose to get their results whether it's pass or fail, their number is 516-572-1704..pls call them and tell them u never got your results..goodluck!! Let's us know what they say!!

Thanks NY-Mom...I think I will call them. I called last week and they said people who took the test on the last day were told we would probably be on a wait list...and we were when we took the test...I was just hoping...

Congratulations, NY-Mom! You have such a positive attitude, I'm sure you'll do just fine with the bridge program.

Congrats to everyone else who got their acceptance letters!

hey everyone,,has anyone called about financial aid? I called today and the nice man told me to bring my tax return and a copy of my fafsa to orientation in July..I didnt think they wait that long to let you know what you will get!!!

Oh ya about the physical exam. Your appointments mean very llittle, unless you got an early appointment. Expect to be there 1-2 hours standing , if you have a later appointment.

Even though the physical exam itself, lab works, vaccinations take 10-15 minutes at most.

my bad just the physical i read the letter so fast i by passed that lol....congrats to everyone see you all in sept!

I sent my $$$$$$$$$$$$$..........hopefully i'll get one of those 200 spots! and my reciepts lol!......damn guys well remember that SNYA program well they are not accepting application b/c they dont have any funding yet:bluecry1::scrying:...they told me to call back May 1st...so I might have to take a loan which I did not want to aww man:yawn:.... I wanna right a letter to Obama....at least he upped the Pell Grant from 4 thousand something to 5 thousand and change, so the loan wont be as much but does anyone know of another grant program?
