I was working as Registered Nurse at Nursing home in New York and my work was terminated by the employer .

I,m make medication error .Give resident wrong dose medication. Not life treating ,like the doctor say .

And my work was terminated by the employer .

My question is : I find new job and will my new employer Human resourse call to my last employer to find out why I,m left job ???

thank you very much

How my new employer at nursing home will check about my previous R.N. work ??

did they will call to my supervisor or Human resource ????

Of course your prospective employer will find out why you left your last job; what makes you think they won't?

If you give false information on your application, you can/will be terminated after you are hired. If you lie during an interview....same thing.

Are you a new grad? Have you ever had other medication errors (that you know of)? Were you ever fired before?

Leo, please stop starting new threads with the same question. It gets difficult for you to track, and creates duplicate work for us ;)

Yes, you can expect ANYONE who thinks about hiring you to check your work history. In another thread, you said you were fired for a med error (and on that thread I asked for more specifics).

I don't know why you think someone is going to hire you WITHOUT checking into your background....?

If the med error was minor, but you were still fired, it seems that there might have been more reason to fire you than just that. If it was a BIG med error, that's important to know, too.

If you're a new nurse, it was a small error but enough to get you fired, be honest about it and do NOT try to hide that from someone you want to work for. If they find out about if from anyone BUT you....you won't get that job.

How to say my prospective employer why I got terminated .I did medication error(not life treating mistake ) .and have not proportional reactions , It was more personal reactions.

thank you very much .
