It is for a med-surge position at Manhasset. Any info from this hospital would be greatly appreciated :D

Hi JoeNurseRN, I've seen some other posts of you about interviews you have got in others hospitals also, may I ask how have you been able to land so many interviews? I've been applying to so many places to no avail so fair......are a new grad right? BSN? any tips, advice? thanks......

I am a new grad with a BSN. I currently work as an ICU nurse and had no previous healthcare or RN experience. I spent 2 months after I graduated sending applications online and also visiting hospitals. Don't sit down in front of the computer and then think that you will get a job like that. Do that, but what will really get you those interviews is by visiting hospitals and dropping your resume. Also, ask to speak to the nurse recruiter. After you drop your resume, always follow up with them and remind them that you are still interested in working for them. The key is to be proactive. Nothing will happen right away but if you have made your job searching your full time job then one day you'll be surprised when you start getting calls from everybody. Again, key is persistence, positive attitude, being prepared for on-spot interviews. If you follow these simple steps then SOMEONE SOMEWHERE WILL NOTICE YOU. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your input......it gave me a little more hope.... I'll try on that....
