Need Some Advice

Hello everyone!

I need some advice as to what I should do. I am planning to take my certification in CNA at New York Medical Career Center (http://www.nymedtraining.com/programs.html) but I am getting conflicting reports regarding this route. I am told that it is better that I become a PCT since CNA get all the dirty jobs and such (I do not mind hard work). All in all, people (Aunt is a RN) keep telling me that CNAs are not a good way to go and it is better to become a PCT. My future plan is to become an RN but I need to be working while I get my degree and I want to get some experience. At the same time, I need to make decent money to pay tuition and such. Can you please tell me the difference between the two? I'd love to hear what your opinions are.

Also, at the Career Center (http://www.nymedtraining.com/programs.html) I plan to go to the CNA has a longer training period than PCTs. Why is that?

PCT's can do more. Depending on the facility they can do EKG's, phelebotomy, and more.
