Nassau NUMC neglect, discrimination etc etc in news?

As a new grad male ( working elsewhere in long island) I find this guys entire story incredibly difficult to believe.

Ive never been to any hospital in nassau, but the whole thing sounds bizarre.

Anyone else hear about this ?

From reading this all I can think about is how much harder it would be for me as a novice nurse to get a job in a hospital. I also went to school with many male and never heard if any discrimination against them. I always thought it would be easier for a guy to get a job.

I mean the guy in that article looks like that character in the goonies, so it wouldnt surprise me why he was having so much trouble playing nice with females.

I dont know if its easier for a guy to get a job persay, because the hardest part is definitely getting an interview. And most people usually dont put their gender on their resume.

But I think it has to help you stand out better in interviews

I mean if 40 people interview for 5 positions and 36 of them are females and 4 are males. Theres a much better chance of them remembering the males better.
