Mount Sinai Medical Center and Continuum Partners To Merge

Submitted a news item to that forum which should be up later after mods approve, but to give a heads up here on Monday the formal announcement was made that Mount Sinai Medical Center and Continuum Partners (Beth Israel, Saint Luke and Roosevelt, Hospitals etc...) have agreed to formerly merge. IIRC the current chief of MS will run the new system.

If approved the Mount Sinai/Continuum Partner network would create one of if not the largest healthcare systems in New York City. For those that cannot wait you can "Google" local NYC healthcare news for various stories.

This will leave NYU IIRC as the lone private hospital system left in NYC.
