Hunter vs. SUNY Downstate RN-BSN

I was accepted into both of these programs and I'm leaning towards Hunter. I know most people choose Downstate because you graduate faster, but I already have a bachelor's in another field so I would only have to take the nursing classes, no extra core classes so considering that, what would be the best choice?

Are you doing THE accelerated Nursing Program at either school? Both programs are outstanding and basically cost the same per semester. Where do you live relative to either school? Hunter is probably easier to get to by subway. My sister went to Downstate and really love the Nursing program/facilities. Going by memory, Downstate seems to have a higher NCLEX pass rate than Hunter.... for whatever that is worth! You cannot go wrong either way.

I would be doing the RN-BSN program so I would already have RN (hopefully I pass my exam the first time), by the time I start.

hey guys, I been looking for posts about Downstate and do not see many. I got accepted into the RN-BSN for Fall 2015. I am guessing you graduated already. I am debating where I should go there or one of SUNY online programs upstate ny. I already have a BA in another field so I have the non-nursing classes needed already. (I am graduating with my ADN in May ) How did you like the program? was it flexible ?

Hi, I got accepted to SUNY downstate for Fall 2015 too. I doubt I know more than but I know usually classes meet two days a week. Given RN BSN is usually for working nurses, I think it will be more flexible than a regular program. Besides, we don't have many clinical courses anymore.
