Hello everyone and Happy Holidays,

I was wondering if anyone had any experiences or thoughts to share regarding homecare agencies that serve Westchester County. I have 1+ years experience in Critical Care and will be leaving in January. I will be looking into a homecare job in February to start in March or April.

What are some better agencies for nurses new to homecare? Also what are some of the questions I should be asking during an interview that are specific to homecare?

Hi, I just started doing private duty home care in PA, and I would ask about how you will be trained, how much training, etc. If you are coming from the ICU, you'll probably be familiar with trachs, vents, and peg tubes more than I was, but their charting is still different, etc. Good luck. I love it!
