BSN from Lehman or York?

U.S.A. New York

Hello

I am looking into getting my second Bachelor's in Nursing. I started taking my pre-reqs at Laguardia CC this Spring semester and was planning on getting my ADN but have now decided that I might as well just work towards my BSN since it looks like the time in school is not that much different and I will have a much greater chance of getting a job after graduating with my BSN in the NYC region.

I can't afford to go to a private school such as NYU or Long Island University (Brooklyn Campus), so I have been doing my research and was leaning towards Cuny Lehman and Cuny York.

Can anyone give me advice on this? Should I continue to take my pre-reqs at LAGCC and then transfer over or should I just start taking my additional pre-reqs at one of these colleges and then apply for their nursing program?

I know that the nursing program at LAGCC is extremely competitive and you need around a 3.8 GPA in the pre-reqs to get in, is this similar for York and Lehman in regards to their Bachelor program?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!

I realize this will be a long, hard journey, but I am very much looking forward to the outcome!

I know this is an old thread but did you ever get in? I am also looking into a second BS from either Lehman, Downstate, or York (York would be my first choice but does not have accelerated program). I am taking pre-req through SUNY online right now.
