Best Facility to Work in New York for New Grads

U.S.A. New York

Published

I am a pre-nursing (BSN) student with a keen interest in living in New York. More specifically, I am looking to live in Brooklyn. What is the best place to work as a new grad? Why? What starting salary should a new grad at the specified facility expect? Is the hospital worth the commute? All other advice is welcomed regarding theses facilities as well.

Considering the employment scenario in NYC, the best facility is the hospital that hires you. Unfortunately, there is a glut of new grads in NYC.

i was going to say this same thing. Who ever hires you is the best job

Definetely agreeing with what the top two said.

However though, if the economy does get better and employment is not such a scarce thing and they lift the hiring freeze, then aim for the teaching hospitals like New York Methodist and Maimonides Medical Center.

Most facilities in NYC are between 60-70K a year as a starting salary.

As far as the commute, well Brooklyn is a large borough so it depends on what part you live in which will determine the commute.
