after reading your posts nj licensure after passing nclex since business license issue, may be resolved in few weeks. you did the correct thing by checking yes on form...otherwise would have been considered "falsification" as did hold another license, alibertt business one. most often looking at 2-3 + month wait. ....not news you want to hear. may require clearance at next bon meeting which is april 21st...

I called NJ Business Registration in reference to this matter and they also stated having a registered business (massage is not a licensed profession) and a professional license are 2 very different things. The only certificate the state ever issued to me was a Certificate of Authority which gave the business the authority to collect and pay NJ sales tax. I held a Federal Employee Identification Number and a Business Entity ID number. I never held a registration certificate as I did not know I needed to request one and the state never sent one on thier own. Believe it or not there are some businesses which do not even require a certificate. After the whole revocation mess was straightened out, I never received any reinstatement notice. I filed for disolution and was granted such, in which I provided copies as proof to the NJ BON. What gets me is this whole thing was admittedly caused by NJ Division of Revenue sending the mailings to the wrong address. They mailed to ..... Drive instead of Court. This is why they reinstated the business without any penalty to me. What I cannot understand is why this would need to go before an entire board and if it does, it would not be until April 21st! As I stated I have supplied all the documentation supporting my good standing with NJ Business Registration. You cannot disolve a business unless it is in good standing and all taxes, fees, penalties and interest levied upon or assessed against have been satisfied. If you could, explain to me the process of disciplinary. The people at NJ BON don't seem to want to elaborate. Any words would be appreciated as I am frazzled and am in need of peace.

Thank you ever so much.

are these meetings open to the public?

I don't know if the meetings are open to the public but I was told the next meeting will be held April 3, 2009. At which time my application will be reviewed and I should have license # by Monday, via calling BON. Even though I never held a professional license but did hold a certificate of authority (collection of sales tax) the person I spoke to said, by answering yes to the question technically was correct. However, this type of certification is not exactly what they were referring too. She agreed the language could be clearer. Unfortunately I suffer the consequences and have to wait it out. All things come in good time, right?
