Bloomfield College Nursing

U.S.A. New Jersey

Hello everyone,

I recently got accepted to Bloomfield College pre-nursing program. I plan to take my outstanding pre-reqs (2 to be exact) during the summer I session and then sit for the NLN in June/July. Has anyone been through this process? If so I will appreciate any advise...I would also like to know about the program itself, professors and that sort of stuff!!!

Thanks...

I am thinking about applying for the nursing program next month as a pre-nursing student. I still have to take a & p 1 and 2, and math105 (abstract and reasoning). I am planning to take a & p 1 and math105 in jan, take the NLN exam in July, and a & p 2 during the summer. Then when will I get accepted into the program considering that I do well on my NLN exam? Do I need to complete all my pre-req courses by May or can I complete the requirements just before the nursing classes/clinicals start in sept?

Also, how hard is it to get into the program as a pre-nursing student?

Does everyone who apply for the nursing program become a pre-nursing student?

I am very nervous!

You need to have all of your prereqs done by the NLN testing date in July. If you finish your prereqs by then and pass the NLN exam with a high enough score, you should get the call accepting you into the nursing division a few weeks later.

There are no requirements for becoming a pre-nursing student with the exception of the minimum GPA required of all Bloomfield College students as stipulated by the college. Everyone who applies for the nursing program is considered pre-nursing.

The difficulty is actually getting into the nursing program itself and staying there. You have to have a decent NLN score and decent GPA to be considered. Most people in my year who got accepted to the nursing program had a GPA of above a 3.4 and scored above a 70 on the NLN.

how long was the program?

Hi everybody, I know I'm SUPER late but I applied to the program for the Fall 2015 semester. I took my TEAS in May and now I'm waiting for the call to see if I got in. Nervous isn't even the word to describe the feeling man ! They said we would be receiving calls on the 15th of June. Can anybody give me some advice on my chances of getting into the program ? I see all of you wrote about the NLN , what is that ? FYI my TEAS score was a 73 and my GPA is a 3.76.
